Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 23, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Hurria Barria website and your registration for any retreat, journey, or program offered by Hurria Barria LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Hurria Barria," "we," "us," or "our"). By registering for a program, submitting a deposit, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms.
2. Our Services
Hurria Barria designs and facilitates in-person group retreats and, where noted, online programs, centered on storytelling, somatic practice, movement, and mythology. Program details, including dates, locations, itineraries, and pricing, are described on our website and in the registration materials for each specific offering, and are subject to change as noted in Section 6.
3. Eligibility and Registration
- You must be at least 18 years old to register for any Hurria Barria program.
- Registration is completed by submitting the booking form and paying the required deposit or full amount through our designated payment processor, Stripe.
- Your place on a retreat is confirmed only once your deposit has been received and you have received written confirmation from us.
- Program capacity is limited; registration is accepted on a first-confirmed, first-served basis.
4. Payment
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Pricing for each retreat is listed at the time of booking, typically structured as a deposit to confirm your place, with the remaining balance due by a specified date before the program begins. Failure to pay the remaining balance by the stated deadline may result in forfeiture of your place and deposit, as described in our Refund Policy.
5. Assumption of Risk and Physical Participation
Our retreats include physical activities such as hiking, walking on uneven terrain, movement and breathwork practices, and, depending on the program, water-based activities such as boat crossings. By registering, you acknowledge that:
- You are voluntarily participating in physical activities that carry inherent risk, including but not limited to the risk of injury.
- You are responsible for disclosing to us, prior to the retreat, any medical condition, injury, or physical limitation that may affect your safe participation.
- You are responsible for consulting your own physician regarding your fitness to participate, particularly for retreats involving strenuous hiking or physically demanding activity.
- Hurria Barria and its facilitators are not medical professionals, and nothing offered during a retreat should be understood as medical or psychological treatment.
- You are strongly encouraged to obtain travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and evacuation, particularly for international travel.
6. Changes and Cancellations by Hurria Barria
We reserve the right to modify a retreat's itinerary, accommodations, or facilitators where necessary due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In the rare event that we must cancel a retreat entirely, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer their payment to a future program, at their choice. See our Refund Policy for full detail on cancellations initiated by participants.
7. Travel Arrangements
Unless explicitly stated otherwise in a specific program's materials, participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own transportation to and from the retreat location, including flights, visas, and any required travel documentation. Hurria Barria is not responsible for costs incurred due to travel delays, visa issues, or missed connections.
8. Code of Conduct
Our retreats are held spaces built on mutual respect. We ask all participants to engage with fellow participants, facilitators, and local hosts and communities with courtesy and openness. Hurria Barria reserves the right to remove a participant from a program, without refund, in cases of behavior that is abusive, unsafe, or seriously disruptive to the group.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Hurria Barria website, including text, images, logos, and the Hurria Barria name and mark, is the property of Hurria Barria LLC or its licensors and may not be reproduced or used without our written permission.
10. Photography and Media
Photography or videography may take place during our retreats for use in future promotional materials. If you do not wish to be photographed or featured, please notify us in writing prior to the start of the program.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hurria Barria LLC's total liability to you arising out of or related to your participation in a program shall not exceed the amount you paid for that program. Hurria Barria is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost income or the cost of alternative travel arrangements, arising from your participation in or inability to participate in a program.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your registration governs that registration.
