A movement back to what is real, simple, and ours. We turn that movement into journeys, storytelling, and the wisdom carried by the body.
Freedom is the right to choose your own path. Wilderness is the courage to leave the marked trail. Authentic expression is what remains once performance falls away. Together, they are not a philosophy, they are a practice.
This is the work of Sumaya, a storyteller and movement practitioner working with mythology, somatic practice, and ancient wisdom. She designs journeys and retreats where the outer landscape becomes a mirror for the inner one. The body remembers what the mind has forgotten.
Every journey begins the same way: one figure, one threshold, one unknown.
Legend and myth are not lessons, they are mirrors. We use them to reveal what a person already carries, not to instruct them.
Every journey moves through the elements, drawing on movement and breathwork encountered across years of travel.
Every outer setting is chosen to mirror an inner one: a place of dissolution before becoming.
Around the fire, we remember who we were before the world named us.
Body, Earth, and the Maidens of the Rock
A five-day women's retreat hosted at Amuna Ayurvedic Resort, built around the legend of King Kashyapa and the Sigiriya rock maidens as a mirror for the wounded inner masculine every woman carries. Forest hikes, a sunrise climb to Pidurangala, a lake crossing by boat, daily movement and breathwork, storytelling, and nightly fire circles.
Every evening closes the same way, gathered around the fire.
